
MEET THE TEAM

TEDxLosGatosHighSchool is hosted by the dedicated student leaders of Unconditionally Positive (UP). UP is a student run Peer to Peer education program that focuses on creating a more accepting and positive atmosphere at Los Gatos High School.


As a Sophomore at LGHS, Amanda is very excited to be a part of UP this year. It’s her first year and she is overjoyed to meet new people and make a positive impact on her school. Amanda rows for Los Gatos Rowing Club and spends most of her time there. She also is apart of the sports commission in Leadership and loves to plan sports events for the school. Outside of school she loves to go to the beach and hangout with friends!

As a Sophomore at LGHS, this is Kate’s first year in U.P., and she is extremely excited to plan events and spread positivity. Kate loves to play soccer and writes for The Radical magazine and the school newspaper. In her free time, Kate enjoys reading and listening to Phoebe Bridgers.

As a junior at LGHS, Letizia is very excited to be a part of UP for her first year! She’s a food lover and athlete and combines both of her passions through her service to the community. In the past few years, along with her job as a gymnastics coach, she has been working with Second Harvest as the Health Ambassador for underprivileged communities in the Bay Area. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends or listening to Harry styles music.

A junior at LGHS, Julie is beyond thrilled and excited to be spreading positivity through UP again this year! Aside from UP, Julie is involved with spreading awareness around teen mental health, helping students feel heard, and creating educational equity! You can find Julie at the beach on weekends, or catching up on AP physics homework and rewatching her favorite, The Queen’s Gambit! She can’t wait for all the wonderful activities UP will provide in uniting the school through positivity!

A junior at LGHS, Kirin is pumped for his second year in UP! He plays basketball and golf for the school teams, and loves to be outdoors. Outside of school, he is part of Boys Team Charity (BTC), a corporation that focuses on volunteering to better our community. In his free time, Kirin hangs out with his friends, listens to music, plays the guitar, and spends time with family by going on runs with his mom, working out, and golfing with his dad.

A junior at LGHS, Maily is pumped for her first year in UP! She is involved with water polo and swimming at the highschool. Also, you can find her leading events as Junior Class President! She loves meeting new people, the beach, ocean swims, and traveling!

As a Sophomore at LGHS, this is Kennedy’s first year in U.P., and she couldn’t be more excited! Kennedy is one of the sophomore class spirit representatives and is a part of the Wildcat Dance Team. She is looking forward to working with the amazing U.P. team to create a wonderful year!
